Based mainly in Manorhamilton, but also operating throughout the island, this program is focused towards undergraduates, postgraduates, and professionals. UISCE Scholars provides a platform for research-based studies, geared towards the different aspects that can be used in peace building, to develop a published paper that is distributed to relevant political and community leaders. One such paper was written by Jason Gappa (Berkshire School), who researched how schools in Ireland, across all backgrounds, are engaging with the Peace Process.
It is preferred that participants have engaged with either/both UISCE East and West programs, and is open to individuals that can demonstrate a significant degree of understanding conflict and peace in Ireland.
Itineraries can be adjusted to accommodate particular interests. Residential facilities are provided, along with direction and assistance from Keith McNair (founder), and associate faculty.
