Hello everyone! I hope you are looking forward to the Easter holidays …do you have any plans? If not, can we suggest something. What do you think about discovering the nature, fauna, flora and the hills of this beautiful area of Ireland? Every year, people from all over the world come to Sligo and North Leitrim to discover Ireland´s best hillwalking areas.
Adam Jorgensen, who lives in Denmark, loves hill-walking and has spent many years to exploring this area. One of the main attractions for him when he started bringing groups of Danish visitors to Ireland was Benbulben. “I will never forget the happy smiles on the faces of the group when we reached the top, which is marked with a triangulation pillar” He said.
There is no doubt that you could spend weeks exploring this area. However, Adam told us just 90 minutes away there are the Slieve League sea cliffs, on the south west coast of Donegal. These are Europe´s highest sea cliffs (Not the cliffs of Moher!) You should not miss them!
If you want to know more about hill-walking and some of the best routes, we invite you to get a copy of magazine “Discover Sligo”.
